Ben studied Business Management and graduated from Surrey in summer 2009 with BSc (Honours). “Benjy” or “Ashcroft” as he was sometimes called, was part of Surrey Snowsports Club during his time at University and joined 220 trip-goers in the French resort of Val Thorens in January 2007. Ben had an amazing time on the slopes, socials and was surrounded by lots of friends he knew from his year group; a truly memorable experience.
Whilst studying, he collaboratively established a successful social network and events business called ‘Lush Party’ with course friends, which reflected his true entrepreneurial spirit. After graduating, Ben was building a reputable career in the IT industry with Google partner firm Ancoris. He was also a keen footballer and organised several football events for local sporting groups where he lived in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.
Popular both in and outside of University, Ben was a brilliant person to be around, easygoing with a great sense of humour; he will be tremendously missed by so many people and remembered for lots of great times shared.
